The earth does not belong to us. We belong to the earth.

Hey, I'm Siva.

ML engineer. Nerd at heart. Easily distracted by animals on YouTube.

About

Half-cracked ML engineer.
Whole-hearted human.

I build ML systems and get unreasonable amounts of dopamine from solving hard problems. The intellectual challenge is the whole point — and also, genuinely, the impact it can create. Long-term I want to be in rooms where big decisions get made. Working towards that.

Dinner with colleagues? Pure nerd talk. With friends? Life, incidents, random ideas, what matters. Both versions are real.

I'm emotionally open, probably to a fault. I care about people deeply and think kindness is actually the highest-leverage thing a smart person can do. That's not a soft take. I stand by it.

Also: my YouTube is basically beaver dams, cat videos, latest AI research, and piano covers. That's the full picture.

AC on full blast. Something loud playing. Fully in my zone.

"Long drives + music = fully automated Siva. Vibing and driving.
That's the reset. Nothing else comes close."

It's not a metaphor. It's just genuinely where I go to exist without thinking about anything. Music on, highway ahead, brain doing its own thing. Completely in the zone.

(Safe driver, for the record. Careful and fully present. The vibing happens on the inside.)

Forest roads are a different thing entirely — eyes open, watching for deer, a monkey on a branch. Nature doesn't announce itself. You just have to be paying attention.

Nature awes me like this.

Real facts. Every single one. I think about them more than I probably should.

Octopuses have 3 hearts, blue copper-based blood, and two-thirds of their neurons live in their arms — not their brain. Each arm thinks semi-independently.
Fully distributed computing. In the ocean. Since before dinosaurs. We're still catching up.

There is a beaver dam in Wood Buffalo National Park, Canada, that is 850 metres long — visible from space. Multiple generations built it. No blueprints.
Good infrastructure outlives its architects. Build for the next generation, not the next sprint.
🌋
Scientists found life thriving near deep-sea hydrothermal vents — no sunlight, crushing pressure, boiling chemicals. Life said: sure, I'll work with that.
Habitable doesn't mean comfortable. It means conditions exist. Look harder.

Small circle. Deep bonds.

"If you are smart, you will understand that being Kind is the best thing you can do."

That line stuck with me and never left. I don't know where I first heard it, but it's true — and it describes something I actually try to live by. Kindness isn't weakness. It's just the smartest thing going.

I care deeply about the people in my life. Maybe too deeply sometimes. But I'd rather be that than the alternative.

Small circle, real conversations. Quality over breadth, always. 🐱

Say hello

Let's talk about something real.

Animal facts welcome. Big ideas encouraged. Casual is fine.
